Siena is a derby shoe, designed to successfully straddle the line between formal and casual style, between refinement and genuineness: the more informal vocation of the derby is embellished by the tumbled Pieno Fiore leather to enhance its value and highlight the natural characteristics of the raw material. The inspiration for this shoe comes from the city of Siena, a jewel of art immersed in one of the most beautiful natural panoramas in the world.
Full-grain textured calfskin
Hammered leather is obtained through the drumming process, carried out in order to enhance the beauty of Pieno Fiore leather. Thanks to the drumming, the leather acquires a grain of variable intensity which preserves the natural irregularities of the raw material, without losing its softness to the touch.
Extra Light rubber tank sole
The Extra Light rubber soles are light and comfortable. The closed cell structure gives resistance to the shoe, protecting it from liquids, bacteria and external agents. The formulation of the sole promotes a "shock-absorber" effect which helps to improve foot support. The shape of the tank sole ensures optimal grip on any terrain.
Blake Rapid processing
The Blake Rapid process was invented by Lyman Reed Blake in 1858 and immediately achieved great success, especially in Italy where it is still among the most used processes today. Its genius lies in the double "Blake" stitching that joins the upper, insole, lining and midsole, while the "Rapid" puts the midsole and sole together, increasing the shoe's resistance and waterproofness.
