Rimini
About
Rimini is a full grain calfskin sneaker, with a calfskin lining that guarantees unique comfort and (almost) eternal durability. Cool in summer, warm in winter, this sneaker can be worn on any occasion. Contemporary but uncompromising, Rimini is created by selecting exclusively the finest materials.
Full grain calf leather
Full grain leather is one of the most valuable materials, because it constitutes the superficial layer of the animal's epidermis and has not undergone particular processes that have altered its natural appearance. Precisely for this reason it maintains the original features of the coat: natural signs such as scars or stretch marks which give naturalness, authenticity and recognisability to the product.
LACTAE HEVEA® sole
LACTAE HEVEA® soles come from the processing of a completely natural substance: hevea milk (the rubber tree). The harvesting of hevea milk takes place in tropical plantations and does not weaken the tree, on the contrary, it helps it grow. In fact, when you start carving a part of the bark, the other end has finished regenerating and a new cycle can thus begin. A recent biomechanical study notes the excellent distribution of pressure on the soles during walking, with a clear attenuation of the excessive pressures of the foot/ground impact. The “Lactae Hevea” soles have been included by UNESCO in the inventory of Rare Art Crafts and the Reltex Company has obtained the “Living Heritage Company” (EPV) label.
“Cassette” processing
There are thousands of types of shoes on the market but the essential parts that compose them are always two: the upper, i.e. the upper part, and the bottom, i.e. the set of components that are placed between the foot and the ground. The type of workmanship often differs in the fixing technique, the union between the upper and the bottom. In Ciccone sneakers we use the "cassette" process: we sew the edge of the bottom to the upper in order to obtain excellent robustness, reducing the risk of the upper coming off.
